Missions and Outreach

We believe in serving others as Jesus taught us to do. We focus our mission and service towards those in our community who are vulnerable, poor, or in need.

We believe in being the hands, feet, voice and love of Christ. Here are some ways in which we serve our community of Dallas:

We serve Austin Street Center, founded in 1983, which is an emergency shelter near downtown Dallas. Each person is provided a safe place to sleep, showers, clothing, and meals. Once their basic needs are met, they can begin working on other aspects of their lives that will help them transition out of homelessness. We provide for basic needs and help serve breakfast.

We serve The Wilkinson Center, which is mission is to transform the lives of Dallas families by providing pathways to self-sufficiency with dignity and respect. We help families face critical life challenges including food insecurity, lack of education, economic instability, unemployment and underemployment. We contribute, provide food, and provide volunteer support for the food pantry.

We serve Dan D. Rogers Elementary School in serving the children and teachers of our community. We do this by mentoring students, providing backpacks with food to children in need who may go hungry over the weekend, supporting and resourcing dedicated teachers, and by building a strong community partnership.

We serve Breakfast at Cathedral of Hope (BACH) – Every Third Saturday, volunteers create and serve a restaurant-style hot breakfast to those in desperate need who might otherwise go hungry. Volunteer positions include every position you’d find in a restaurant.
